175 talks, 148 articles, 785,456 words (and counting).
Search the Transcript, Jump to the Timestamp.
We have rebuilt the CDFAM presentation index so that the full text of every recorded presentation can be searched, alongside every interview and article we have published.
What is in it
Every recording from the first CDFAM in NYC 2023, through Berlin 2024, NYC 2024, Amsterdam 2025, NYC 2025, Barcelona 2026 and Washington DC 2026, with the YouTube generated transcript of each talk broken into 7,620 searchable passages.
The index also covers 148 published interviews and articles from some of the same speakers and companies.
How to Use It
There are two views.
Index is the full table of presentations, sortable by date and filterable by event, speaker, company or tag. Each row links directly to the video.
Search transcripts searches the spoken text. There are three modes:
Any word returns passages containing at least one of your terms.
All words requires every term to appear in the same passage.
Keyword ignores spoken words entirely and matches against curated tags, titles and companies. Use this when you want to find talks that are about a subject rather than talks that mention it in passing.
Results can be filtered by event and by speaker. A sidebar shows who says the term most, which is a quick way to find the people who actually work on (or talk about) a given problem.
Each result shows the passage, the speaker, the event, and a timestamp.
Clicking the timestamp opens the YouTube video at the exact moment the term is spoken. From the same card you can copy the quote, expand the surrounding context, or click a tag to pivot to related presentations.
As an example, a search for “gyroid” returns 55 passages, with Kirill Volchek of Oqton, Andreas Vlahinos of AES and Christian Waldvogel of Spherene at the top of the list. A keyword search for “footwear” returns 11 talks from New Balance, Framas, Puma, On and VARIANT3D. An all-words search for “AI agent” returns 113 passages across 39 talks, with a clear concentration in Barcelona 2026 and DC 2026 relative to earlier events.
Search for a specific word (NASA) and open from timestamp to exact spot on YouTube recording of presentation.
A Note on the Source Material
The articles are verbatim interviews written by the interviewees. No AI, no translation.
The recording transcripts are machine generated by YouTube and contain errors, particularly around technical terms, company names and product names. CAD becomes cat more often than it should.
Treat the transcript as a way to find the moment in the video, not as a record of what was said. If you intend to quote a speaker, watch the clip.
Updates
The index updates daily. New presentations and articles are searchable as they are added.
Academic Use
If you use this in published academic research, please let us know so we can read, track and share it.
Thanks to All Presenters, Attendees, Sponsors
Thanks to everyone who has presented at CDFAM over the years. The reason to hold these events in the first place was to get people working on computational design, AI and advanced manufacturing into the same room and on the record. Making that record searchable is the obvious next step, and the field is moving quickly enough that it is worth doing.
The recordings are only a small part of the CDFAM experience, much of the real conversations happen at the networking event, over coffee, lunch, sushi, tapas, maybe a sausage sizzle depending where the event is held.
The next event will take place for the first time at CDFAM Tokyo October 8-9 2026, then we will be back in Barcelona in April and NYC in July 2027.
Submissions are always open to present if you would like to add to the body of knowledge shared at the CDFAM Computational Design Symposium Series.
