Methods are presented, compared, and questioned, but the record of that work often ends with the recording. We see value in more of it being tested, documented, and published where others can build on it.
npj Engineering Intelligence is a new, open access Nature Portfolio journal, now open for submissions.
Led by founding Editor-in-Chief Chris McComb, it publishes research at the intersection of AI and engineering: work that advances how engineers discover, design, build, operate, and sustain physical systems, as well as engineering challenges that inspire better AI methods.
For the CDFAM community, Chris is especially interested in research on computational design, additive manufacturing, and the path from requirements to manufactured parts.
A compelling paper should show more than an impressive demonstration. What did the method enable engineers to learn or do, how does it compare with credible alternatives, and where does it fail under real engineering constraints?
Researchers and industry teams with findings others can test and build on are encouraged to explore the journal’s scope and submit their work.
